Green Kids Kitchen Lesson Plan

Substitutions

Gluten Free

Pesto Pizzettes >> Use gluten-free English muffins, such as Glutino (glutino.com). 

Zucchini Muffins >> Use gluten-free flour in place of regular flour.

  Dairy Allergy

Pesto Pizzettes >> Omit the cheese in the pesto or use a dairy-free Parmesan such as Go Veggie! (goveggiefoods.com). Omit the mozzarella or use a dairy free mozzarella such as Miyoko’s Kitchen (miyokoskitchen.com) or a slice of your favorite dairy-free cheese.

Sweet Pea Soup >> Use dairy free butter such as Earth Balance (earthbalancenatural.com). In place of heavy cream, use a soy creamer such as Silk (silk.com) or prepared coconut cream (you can also make your own by chilling a can of full fat coconut milk and skimming the cream off the top).

 Vegan
