Substitutions

Gluten-Free

Graveyard Brownies >> Use gluten-free flour instead of regular flour. Use gluten-free vanilla sandwich cookies, such as Glutino Vanilla Crème cookies.

Stuffed Jack-o’-Peppers >> Use a gluten-free orzo pasta, such as Delallo.

Dairy Allergy

Graveyard Brownies >> Use a dairy-free butter, such as Earth Balance.

Spider Web Soup >> Use a dairy-free sour cream, such as Tofutti or Follow Your Heart.

Stuffed Jack-o’-Peppers >> Use a dairy-free mozzarella cheese, such as Follow Your Heart or Daiya.

Egg Allergy

Graveyard Brownies >> Instead of 3 eggs, use one of the following options: Mix 3 tablespoon of flaxseed meal with 9 tablespoons of water. Let it set for a few minutes and then stir into the recipe as you would the eggs; or mix 4 1/2 teaspoons of Ener-g Egg Replacer with 6 tablespoons of water. Let it set for a few minutes and then stir into your recipe; or mix 6 tablespoons of Follow Your Heart VeganEgg with 1 ½ cups of cold water. Whisk vigorously and then stir into the recipe.

Vegetarian

Stuffed Jack-o’-Peppers >> Instead of ground turkey, use a meatless ground beef product, such as Beyond Meat, Yves, Lightlife, or Neat.

Vegan
