Celebrate Summer with Dessert

Posted on June 23, 2014

Welcome summer! Celebrate with a quick, easy and seasonal dessert that your rad-kids will love to cook and eat.  Try it with other types of stone fruit too, such as nectarines or plums!

Personal Peach Crumbles

Ingredients:

2 ripe and firm peaches, halved and pitted
1/3 cup oats
1/3 cup brown sugar
2 Tbsp cold butter, diced
2 Tbsp flour
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
Vanilla ice cream or fresh whipped cream (optional)

Steps for Rad-Kids:

1. Preheat oven to 425° F
2. Arrange peach halves in a single layer with cut side up inside of a greased baking dish.
3. In a medium sized bowl, combine oats, sugar, flour, and cinnamon.  Add diced butter and work with fork or hands to make pea sized crumbles.
4.  Spoon streusal on top of each peach and bake for 20 minutes or until peaches are soft and topping browns. TASTE & SHARE!
