Rad-Kids Cook with Eggs!

Posted on April 14, 2014

This week Raddish is cooking with eggs! We love eggs because they are found in so many delicious recipes from traditional breakfast fare to cakes, custards, salad dressings, and even used as a hamburger topping!

Share with us!  How does your family cook and eat eggs?  What can you create with eggs this week?

Looking for a way to use your leftover Easter eggs?  Follow some of our tasty tips and recipes for great deviled eggs below.

Simple Tricks for Great Deviled Eggs:

The Older, The Better:  Fresh eggs are harder to peel.  Make a note to purchase your eggs a week in advance!

Cook 'em Gently:  Place your eggs in a saucepan filled with cool water. Bring the water to a boil, then reduce the heat to a gentle simmer and cook for 10 minutes.  Cool the eggs under cold running water to stop the cooking process (and avoid dark over cooked yolks).

Perfect Peel: Eggs are easier to peel when held under cool running water.

Pretty Piping:  Piping is a great way to transfer the filling back into the egg white.  Once mixed together, transfer your egg yolk mixture into a resealable plastic bag.  Cut a small whole at the corner of the plastic bag and apply pressure to squeeze the filling into your egg whites.
